Documents Required for Office Rent in the Dubai
For Mainland:
- You need a valid trade license from the Emirate Department of Economic Development (DED).
- For renting office space on the mainland, the lease agreement must be registered through Ejari, a system regulating Dubai's residential and commercial rental contracts. Other Emirates have similar systems.
- Copies of the passports of the business owner(s) or the person(s) authorized to sign the rental agreement.
- Copies of UAE visas for non-GCC nationals involved in the business.
- A copy of the signatory's Emirates ID.
- Depending on the nature of your business, you may also need an NOC from certain authorities or your current landlord if you're moving offices within the UAE.
- Some landlords might require the company stamp to be affixed to the rental agreement.
For Free Zones:
- A valid license issued by the Free Zone Authority under which your business is registered.
